Came here for the Bo Luc Lac plate. I love it here. The meat is just so tender and flavorful. The restaurant is small inside but it was a weekday so there were plenty tables available. They have a huge TV playing videos. The place is cash only. I'd definitely come back!

I've been ordering take-outs from this restaurant a lot this last month. When you live near Westminster, there are rounds of restaurants that you just switch from going to. Most of them offer the same items but your taste changes after going to certain places for a while, you go to a different one that offer the same things but slightly different taste, just because there are so many options and you don't want to go to the same place all the time. My dad likes the caramelized catfish (ca kho to), beef stew with French bread (bo kho), and shaken beef (bo luc lac) here. And these three items have been what I've kept going back for. First off, their shaken beef here is very tender and flavorful. Lots of garlic but they don't fry it too much in butter like most places. And, over here, the beef is on a plentiful plate of watercrest salad. It has its own Vietnamese salad dressing, the vinaigrette/lime with oil dressing. It's super refreshing on a hot summer day. Then, their ca kho to (caramelized catfish) is super flavorful.. I don't know if they do a version without the pork belly but their default version comes with pork belly and it is so so so good over hot white rice! Def 10/10. The bo kho (beef stew) here for me is okay. They do give a lot more than most places, a whole plastic container instead of half. But, they give a lot of tendons. If that is what you like, you will love it. Next time I might ask for them to give more meat than tendon but not sure if they have that or will charge more. It is also on the saltier side. Overall, I would want to try their banh xeo and other rice dishes, and maybe spring rolls too. But my go-to would be those 3 here.

I've been coming here for bánh xèo and it is the best bánh xèo here. The restaurant is a mom and pop shop but serve the best bánh xèo. It is better than Quan Mi bánh xèo because the bánh xèo here is full of filling and tastes better too. Anyone who likes bánh xèo, should drop by here and give it a try. You won't regret it!

I tried this place because of the positive reviews on their beef stew dishes. After scanning the menu 3 times, however, I didn't see it listed so I thought they discontinued this. The place was pretty crowded so I just ordered the filet mignon pho and a bahn xeo with shrimp for takeout. Very generous portions and very tasty. When the server brought my order to me I showed her a Yelp picture of the Hu Tieu Bo Kho (beef stew w noodles) and she offered to have it made for me! I didn't want to wait because I had to take the food I already got home to my wife. But I shall return knowing that I can ask for it without it being on the menu..

Great comfort food and reasonable price. This place reminds me of my moms cooking. Everything I had so far has been yummy. Had the hu tieu, bun xeo, bo khi, pho(just ok), chicken wings, soft shell crab and it wall all good.

I have been coming here for a few years now and I am very close to the owner. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. This place is well know for their Banh Xeo, Hu Tieu Bo Kho and Cha Ca. Cant go wrong with any of those. Only negative would be that parking in the plaza where the restaurant is located can sometimes be very difficult. Service is great since they know me. Plate of Shaken beef is empty since it was so good especially since the steak and sauce soaks into the veggies

Okay, my search for relatively decent, tasty and reasonably-priced Bo Kho is over! I love the Hu Tieu Bo Kho (Vietnamese beef stew with rice noodles) here! After the disaster at Pho Lu (and their undercooked noodles), I went back to Yelp and found out about this little gem tucked in an otherwise busy plaza off Bolsa Ave... I haven't tried any of their other dishes - and they have quite a few specials - but had their hu tieu bo kho in the morning, with a side of cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee) and another order of hu tieu bo kho for dinner the same day. The morning serving of HTBK was great - chunks of tender, melt in your mouth stewed meat AND tendon - full of flavor and satisfying. Generous cuts of carrots, fresh rice noodles, accompanied by a tray of fresh mint leaves and garnishes. The Cafe Sua Da was equally pleasant - strong, rich and creamy - with just the right bit of sweetness. Sadly, the dinner serving of HTBK wasn't as great - not sure if it was because I ordered it at night or to-go - there wasn't as many chunks of tender meat, but more so the fattier portions like belly and tongue. It was still much better than my previous night's HTBK from Pho Lu - which had undercooked noodles - but I'll bring this up to their attention the next time I stop by for HTBK and coffee in the morning... more than likely, sometime this week. Cash only - and the only ATMs in the immediate area belong to a international bank, a few steps away (so be prepared for ATM fees) - or the BofA ATM across the street at the Asian Garden Mall. Prices are decent considering the quality of the food - HTBK is $7 including tax. Plenty of parking in front of this plaza AND behind.
